The mystery: unveiled.
Follow us on TwitterAbout Dropbox
Dropbox was founded by Drew and Arash in 2007 and received seed funding from Y Combinator and Sequoia Capital.
Aston joined in December of last year, followed shortly by Jon and not much later by Rajiv who both joined this spring. The summer afterwards saw the arrival of the rest of the Dropbox team as we know it today. Together, they face the challenge of changing the way people think about their files and storage.

Drew Houston
That smile never leaves his face. Really.
Drew's happy when the Dropbox apps for Windows and Mac are happy.
Or when five-starring songs on Rock Band.

Arash Ferdowsi
4am IHOP run. Nothin' new.
He's still awake because he's worrying about your data.
His departure from MIT with less than a year remaining arguably gives him the most startup cred of the group.

Aston Motes
Aston wonders what happened to his afro.
Turns out, the goodness of Dropbox's web interface is unaffected by his lack of hair.
We hope.

Jon Ying
Jon's job is do to do his absolute best to make sure you're happy.
He'll pull late nights and go without meals just to go that extra mile to win your heart.
Oh, and in case you were wondering... Yes. He's single.

Rajiv Eranki
Rajiv's the only one of us who almost got a Master's from MIT.
He's got a penchant for great food and great code.
Not to mention a great rendition of Roxanne.

Rian Hunter
Rian's our resident Linux expert and is also fluent in emacs. He's so hardcore that he started the Linux client before he'd even joined the team.
His title on his business card is 'Friend to all'. Just spend a few minutes with him and you'll find out that it's absolutely true.

Mike Haimes
Since this pic's been taken, Mike hasn't shaved once.
Legend says that he's been able to feed himself for days using only the food scraps lodged in his beard.
This gives him more time to spend on Dropbox's spiffy UI.

Albert Ni
Albert was once our intern, but is now a full-time member of the team.
He's the voice of reason in an office that is generally in disarray ("Why are we throwing things in here?"), and happens to be the third MIT dropout on the team, along with Arash and Mike.

Trevor Berg
Trevor's a man with a bit of an identity crisis.
He cheers for the Miami Dolphins, Kansas Jayhawks, and New Orleans Jazz (yeah, you heard right), even though he's a native Montanan.
That's ironic since he's the man in charge of making sense of our web interface.

Michael Nagy
From his humble beginnings as a Dropbox user, Michael became one of the most prolific posters on the forums, quickly overtaking the Dropbox team in post count.
At that point, we really had no choice but to hire him. The logistics are a bit fuzzy, but we think he may legally own the forums in some states.
